Work Order Category
Goal: manage the work types used on a Job Assignment and Work Order, including whether that category is warranty-covered.
Steps:
- Open the Work Order Category page. The list shows a Name column and a Has Warranty indicator (✓/-).
- To add data, click Add New, fill in the Name field, enable the Has Warranty toggle if this category is warranty-covered, then click Save.
- To edit data, choose the category you want to edit, click Edit, change the Name and/or Has Warranty toggle, then click Save.
- To delete data, click Delete on the chosen category, then confirm on the dialog that appears.
Note: if Has Warranty is enabled, the AC unit chosen on a Job Assignment with this category will be checked for warranty claim eligibility, and the Work Order resulting from that Job Assignment may automatically generate a Warranty Claim.
Warning: deleted category data can't be restored.
Expected Result: the Work Order category is saved, updated, or deleted according to the action performed, and is available to choose on a Job Assignment and Work Order.
