Introduction
This page holds the spare parts master data used during Work Order reporting and recorded on a Warranty Claim. Each spare part can be linked to one or more Rolling Stock Categories, which determines which spare parts appear as choices when reporting a Work Order or filling in a Warranty Claim for a rolling stock of that category.
Prerequisites
- A stable internet connection.
- An active account with permission to manage Spare Parts data.
- The View Spare Part Price permission — required for the price column to appear.
Step-by-Step Guide
Viewing and Searching Spare Part Data
Goal: quickly find the spare part data you're looking for.
Steps:
- Open the Spare Parts page. The list shows columns for code, name, Brand, Rolling Stock Categories (as badges), and price.
- Type a code or name keyword in the Search field.
- Use the Rolling Stock Categories filter to narrow the list to spare parts usable on a specific rolling stock category.
Note: the price column only appears for users with the View Spare Part Price permission.
Expected Result: the spare part list shows results matching your keyword and/or chosen Rolling Stock Categories filter.
Adding Spare Part Data
Goal: add new spare part data to the system.
Steps:
- Click Add New.
- Fill in the Code and Name fields.
- Fill in the Brand and Specification fields if needed (optional).
- Check one or more Rolling Stock Categories (Locomotive, Carriage, KRD, KRL) to determine which rolling stock categories can use this spare part (optional — leave all unchecked if this spare part isn't restricted by category).
- Upload one or more spare part Images if needed (optional).
- Fill in the Price field if needed — this field only appears for users with the View Spare Part Price permission (optional).
- Click Save.
Expected Result: the new spare part appears on the Spare Parts list.
Editing Spare Part Data
Goal: update existing spare part data.
Steps:
- Choose the spare part you want to change, then click Edit.
- Change the Code, Name, Brand, Specification, Rolling Stock Categories, Images, and/or Price fields as needed.
- Click Save.
Expected Result: the spare part data in the list is updated per your saved changes.
Viewing Spare Part Detail
Goal: view a spare part's complete data along with its image gallery.
Steps:
- Choose the spare part you want to view.
- Review every field in the detail dialog, including Rolling Stock Categories (as badges) and the image gallery.
- Click one of the images in the gallery to enlarge it.
Expected Result: the spare part's detail and image gallery display in full.
Deleting Spare Part Data
Goal: delete spare part data that's no longer needed.
Steps:
- Choose the spare part you want to delete, then click Delete.
- Read the confirmation dialog that appears.
- Click the confirm button to permanently delete the data.
Warning: deleted spare part data can't be restored.
Expected Result: the spare part is deleted from the list.
Troubleshooting / FAQ

| The Price column doesn't appear in the list or form | Your account doesn't have the View Spare Part Price permission. Contact your system administrator if you need this access. |
| An image can't be enlarged | Make sure you're clicking directly on the image in the detail dialog's gallery. |
| The spare part I'm looking for doesn't appear as a choice when reporting a Work Order or filling in a Warranty Claim | Spare part choices are limited to the Rolling Stock Categories matching the related rolling stock. Check and complete the Rolling Stock Categories on that spare part's data if it should be available for that category. |
