Introduction

The AC Unit page stores AC unit asset data installed on rolling stock (trains), either internal units (fully recorded with model, depot, and installation date) or external units (only unit number and related rolling stock recorded). Each unit can have several components (e.g. compressor, evaporator) and a warranty history.

Glossary

Term	Explanation
Internal unit	An AC unit whose data is fully recorded: model, depot, and installation date.
External unit	An AC unit for which only the unit number and related rolling stock are recorded.
Export	Download data (per the active filter) as an Excel file.

Prerequisites

• A stable internet connection.
• An active account with access to the AC Unit page.

Step-by-Step Guide

Viewing and Searching AC Units

Goal: find a specific AC unit among all recorded data.

Steps:

1. Open the AC Unit page. The system shows a list of all AC units with columns: unit number, unit model, rolling stock category, rolling stock type, rolling stock number, operational depot, installation depot, handover date, and warranty status.
2. Type a unit number in the Search field to find a specific unit.
3. Use the Internal / External / All toggle for a quick filter by unit type.
4. Click Advanced Filter to open additional filter options that can be combined:
   • AC Unit Type
   • Rolling Stock Category (Locomotive, Carriage, KRD, KRL)
   • Operational Depot
   • Rolling Stock
   • Installation Depot
   • Warranty Status
   • Warranty Type
   • Warranty Expiring Within (7 / 14 / 30 days)
5. Click Reset Filter to clear all active filters at once.

Note: an active filter is shown as a number badge on the Advanced Filter button, so you can see at a glance how many filters are currently applied.

Expected Result: the AC unit list shows results matching your search keyword and chosen filters.

Managing AC Unit Data

Goal: view detail, edit, delete, or export AC unit data.

Steps:

1. Click Add New to open the form for adding multiple units at once. See Adding an AC Unit for the full steps.
2. Click View on a unit row to open the unit detail in a dialog, covering rolling stock, model, warranty, component, and related Job Assignment history data.
3. Click Edit on a unit row to change an existing unit's data.
4. Click Delete on a unit row to delete the unit. The system will show a confirmation dialog first.
5. Click Export to download the unit list (per the active filter) as an Excel file.

Warning: deleting an AC unit can't be undone. Make sure you've chosen the correct unit before confirming the deletion on the dialog that appears.

Expected Result: the AC unit data you viewed, edited, deleted, or exported reflects the action you performed.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

Question / Issue	Solution
The unit I'm searching for doesn't appear in the list.	Check whether an active filter (number badge on the Advanced Filter button) is limiting the results, then click Reset Filter.
The Delete button shows a confirmation dialog — can the data be restored?	No. Deleting an AC unit is permanent, so make sure the chosen unit is correct before confirming.
