Rolling Stock

Introduction

Rolling Stock is train data on which AC Units and their components are installed. Each rolling stock has a category (Locomotive, Carriage, KRD, KRL), type, number, and operational depot.

Step-by-Step Guide

Viewing and Searching Rolling Stock Data

Goal: quickly find the rolling stock data you're looking for.

Steps:

  1. Open the Rolling Stock page. The list shows columns for rolling stock number, category, type, and operational depot.
  2. Type a keyword in the Search field to search freely.
  3. Use the Category and Operational Depot filters to narrow the list — available as a filter bar on desktop or a filter panel on mobile.

Expected Result: the rolling stock list shows results matching your keyword and/or chosen filters.

Adding Rolling Stock Data

Goal: add new rolling stock data to the system.

Steps:

  1. Click Add New.
  2. Fill in the Number, Category, Type, and Operational Depot fields.
  3. Click Save.

Expected Result: the new rolling stock appears on the Rolling Stock list.

Editing Rolling Stock Data

Goal: update existing rolling stock data.

Steps:

  1. Choose the rolling stock you want to change, then click Edit.
  2. Change the Number, Category, Type, and/or Operational Depot fields as needed.
  3. Click Save.

Warning: changing the Operational Depot on existing rolling stock will cascade to related data. Read the warning that appears on the form carefully before saving your changes.

Expected Result: the rolling stock data in the list is updated per your saved changes.

Viewing Rolling Stock Detail

Goal: view a rolling stock's complete data along with its installed AC Units.

Steps:

  1. Choose the rolling stock you want to view, then click View.
  2. Review the rolling stock's detail data along with a table of installed AC Units (unit number, model, operational depot, warranty status).
  3. Click a unit number in the table to open that unit's detail.

Expected Result: the rolling stock detail and its list of installed AC Units display in full.

Deleting Rolling Stock Data

Goal: delete rolling stock data that's no longer needed.

Steps:

  1. Choose the rolling stock you want to delete, then click Delete.
  2. Read the confirmation dialog that appears.
  3. Click the confirm button to permanently delete the data.

Warning: deleted rolling stock data can't be restored. Make sure you've chosen the correct data before confirming.

Expected Result: the rolling stock is deleted from the list.
